Why NYC is worth every last penny
mollymoker:
I couldn’t have said it better myself. Every time I have a freak out moment about how much I pay for a 7x10 bedroom in a downtown walk-up, it only takes me about two minutes to remember why, for me, it’s all worth it.
And I don’t think this is a pretentious statement. It’s just a matter of what’s important to different people. I’m not saying I’m better than anyone because I live in...

Breaktime...
For the lack of better words, my brain hurts! I have only had two days of classes, and already I am missing the freedom of only leisure in my agenda.
For the better part of my day, I have been reading the words of Benjamin Constant and Rousseu. While I find it a delight to read and further enlighten myself with ideas of “thinkers” from the past, I find it a little irritating that I...
Summer Concludes at Midnight
I have already shared my summer experiences with all who cared to read, but now, I will scribble about some exciting things to come.
First and foremost, I am starting school at Hunter College (again), tomorrow at noon. I am quite nervous, but I have been gathering them Benjamins for a year and a half to go back; which is why I am so excited to return.
Another thing that I have the pleasure of...
It is so sticky and humid this morning. Other than the rumbling of the train and the steady howl of the air conditioner, the subway is dead quiet. Some people are sleeping and some are struggling to stay awake. Myself on the other hand, I love late nights and early mornings… Yet another commute.

I realized something crazy today. I realized that, while I am going about my day, ideas are now popping in my head on what to blog next. So yes, I am getting addicted, and surprisingly, I am not ashamed of it. During my workout today, I figured that I would talk about music. To my surprise, when I checked tumblr, via my iPhone, a fellow blogger had just posted a music blog. So, shoutout to...
Summer Kind Of Wonderful
If you can care less of what tiny adventures I encountered this summer, this is the time to cease further reading.
The summer of 2009 was expensive, muggy, quick, and so wet that I thought that I had moved to London; none-the-less, it was a great summer that I will never forget. Being that I do not plan my fun and just “be” fun, it hit me fast and took me to the beaches of the...
I really need to travel. I have been all over this great country of mine, but I am surprisingly not well travelled internationally. Being a New Yorker, I like to feel like I am a “jack-of-all trades,” or that I am pretty well rounded. To an extent this is true, but unfortunately I have never been to Europe or Australia. It’s a shame.
Although I have never been to those...

Funny…I cannot escape the sirens. Suburb volunteer horns are bleeding my ears.
Shoutout to Carolyn. Props on the follow! Britt Lor what’s good?
The night sounds of living in the city are not calming, but the “racket” that reaches my ears, while I slowing drift away into my slumber, is normal for mwah. I am not a wannabe/trying hard follower that says that they like the sound of a car blaring it’s horn at 2 in the am; although, it is something that just does not faze me.
On the other mano, not only do the nocturnal...

Birds, sun, my bike, my dunks (type of sneakers for the hicks out there), and the calmness of upstate NY…It must be Saturday.
It’s time to enjoy the tranquil scenery, while putting miles on my bike. Come to think of it, I really want to name my bike. Maybe I’ll name her Brooklyn.
So, it’s a simple day for me: Ride all day, eat, go back to the city. Nice! One love.
It’s Friday. I have no work tomorrow. That means no lifting bags and putting on a fake smile for foreign schmucks who has proven to me that their I.Q. is equal to that of a vibrating dildo. The weekend means no more sweating in 90 degree heat and humidity while lifting bags, that amount to the weight of a dead horse I might add, only to receive a fake, dollar-less, but jolly,...

I love to be active. So, to stay true to my “activeness,” I bought a road bike! I’ve been riding all throughout my beautiful city. I’ve gone tri-boro for the past couple days…Brooklyn, Manhattan, and the Bronx. Great workouts! If anyone plans to get a bike, here is some words of advice…you get what you pay for. So, spend that extra $200 on the bike,...
